Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Rankett collects, uses, and protects information across the rankett.com marketing site, the Rankett service at fulfillment.rankett.com, and the Rankett Publisher WordPress plugin distributed via the WordPress.org plugin directory.

1. Who we are

Rankett is an SEO content fulfillment service that produces and deploys content to client websites on behalf of marketing agencies. References to "we", "us", and "our" in this policy refer to Rankett. You can reach us at info@rankett.com.

2. What we collect from website visitors

When you fill out a contact form, book a call, or sign up on rankett.com, we collect the information you submit. This typically includes your name, email address, and any agency or company details you choose to share. We use this information to respond to inquiries, schedule calls, and provide service updates.

The marketing site uses standard analytics cookies to measure page traffic and improve content. You can disable cookies in your browser at any time without affecting your ability to view the site.

3. What the Rankett Publisher WordPress plugin collects

The Rankett Publisher plugin (slug: rankett-publisher) is an opt-in WordPress plugin installed by a site owner. It only begins communicating with our service after the site owner pastes a connection key issued by Rankett into the plugin settings. All requests go to https://fulfillment.rankett.com.

The plugin makes the following requests to our service:

Registration

When: The site owner saves a connection key in plugin settings.

Endpoint: POST https://fulfillment.rankett.com/api/wp/register

Data sent: Connection key, site URL, plugin version, and the detected SEO plugin slug (Yoast, RankMath, AIOSEO, or none) so we can avoid emitting duplicate schema markup.

Purpose: Associate the WordPress install with the agency account that owns the connection key, so we know where to deliver content.

Task polling

When: Every 30 minutes via WordPress cron. If WordPress cron has not run for over 60 minutes (some sites have low traffic), the plugin also performs a single safety-net poll on the next admin page load.

Endpoint: GET https://fulfillment.rankett.com/api/wp/tasks

Data sent: Connection key (Bearer header).

Data received: Any blog posts queued for this site (title, body, schema, FAQ).

Purpose: Pull pending content from our service so the plugin can publish it as WordPress posts.

Publish acknowledgement

When: After each post publishes or fails to publish.

Endpoint: POST https://fulfillment.rankett.com/api/wp/ack

Data sent: Connection key (Bearer header), task id, WordPress post id, permalink of the published post, status (success or failure), and an error message if the publish attempt failed.

Purpose: Confirm whether queued content was successfully published so we can mark the task complete or retry.

Related-post lookup

When: During post creation, when building the related-posts section.

Endpoint: GET https://fulfillment.rankett.com/api/wp/related

Data sent: Connection key (Bearer header), blog post id.

Data received: 3 to 5 related previously deployed posts (title and URL for each).

Purpose: Insert internal links to related content on the same site.

Deactivation signal

When: The site owner deactivates the plugin.

Endpoint: POST https://fulfillment.rankett.com/api/wp/deactivated

Data sent: Connection key.

Purpose: Mark the site as inactive so we stop queuing content for it.

Retention: Operational logs of plugin requests (registration, polling, acknowledgements, deactivation) are retained for 12 months. Connection records are retained for the duration of the active service and for 30 days after deactivation, after which they are deleted.

4. What the plugin does NOT collect

The Rankett Publisher plugin does not collect, transmit, or log any of the following:

  • Site visitor data (no analytics, no tracking pixels, no visitor IP addresses)
  • User-generated content on the WordPress site (the data flow is one-directional, from Rankett to the site)
  • WordPress admin email addresses or user account details
  • WordPress comments or commenter information
  • Existing post content, pages, or media on the site
  • WordPress database credentials, FTP credentials, or hosting credentials

5. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We share data only with the following service providers, and only to the minimum extent required to operate the service:

  • Stripe, for processing billing and subscription payments.
  • Anthropic and OpenAI, for generating content via large language models. No personally identifiable information about agencies, site owners, or visitors is passed to these providers. Inputs are topic briefs and content prompts.
  • Supabase, for application database storage.
  • Vercel, for application hosting and serverless infrastructure.

We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process.

6. Your rights

You have the right to request access to the information we hold about you, to request correction of inaccurate information, and to request deletion of your information. To exercise any of these rights, email info@rankett.com.

7. How to opt out or delete plugin data

You can stop all data exchange between your WordPress site and Rankett at any time by deactivating or uninstalling the Rankett Publisher plugin. On deactivation, the plugin sends a final shutdown signal and stops all polling. The registration record associated with your site is deleted from our service within 30 days of plugin deactivation, or sooner on request.

To request immediate deletion of your data, email info@rankett.com from an address associated with the agency account.

8. Children's privacy

Our service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect information from, children under the age of 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated to active agency accounts by email.
